Melting Architecture
We build architecture as if nothing will be changed
Surrounding changes while buildings don’t
When circumstance changes, species are opted out from natural selection or get accustomed to the newer environment. But buildings don’t. Buildings are made considering its existing surroundings though, it never thinks of changes to come. As societal changes become faster than ever before, buildings should take this drastic changes and when it can’t change itself, it should fade away. What would it look like if there is mortal buildings like organism once its life is done.
Buildings made of sugar
To convey the idea of mortal buildings, the mock up model is made of melted sugar. The melting process represents mortality of building.
